GRAND BAY MIDDLE SCHOOL

REDO POLICY FOR 2009-2010

1.    Any student making a 79 or below on a test has the option to REDO the test.

2.    A student can only redo a specific test ONE time. Over the course of the quarter, the same student may be eligible to attend reteach sessions and take multiple tests.

3.    The student MUST attend a minimum of ONE reteach session to be eligible to retest. Further required sessions will depend on the subject area and teacher discretion.

4.    Participation in REDO is not mandatory for the student.

5.    The student retesting may make no higher than an 80% on the REDO test. The student will receive a grade that is the average of the two tests; the original test and the REDO test. If the averaged grade is higher than an 80%, the student will only receive an 80%.

6.    Reteach sessions and REDO tests will be scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays during PE or Elective time. The teacher may use both or either day, at his or her discretion.

7.    Elective teachers will receive an email at the BEGINNING of the session to let them know which students are participating.

8.    P.E. teachers will receive a list by runner at the BEGINNING of the session of their students who are participating.

9.    The REDO policy DOES NOT apply to CRTs.
